Hello everyone.
What a relief to know that after 18 years I am not alone.
So many people with similar illness to me.
I worked as a nurse so was already exposed to lots of chemicals
including a lot of mercury vapour in the Dental Dept. In 1990 I had a
course of 3 Hepatitis B vaccines and have been ill with mcs and chronic
fatigue/fibromyalgia symptoms since then.
I have just had it confirmed by Glaxo that there was mercury in
the vaccines which would have been enough to sensitise me. So along
with everything else that I seem to be allergic to the vaccine would,
almost certainly have caused me this illness.
This is the first piece of anything near to proof that I have that this
is what caused it. Occupational Health have destroyed my records and I
do not even have proof I had the vaccine.
It is outrageous that this is not recognised. For 18 years I have been
seeing various specialists for one thing and another (at great cost to
the health service and myself!) the only thing I have been offered is
antidepressants which I knew was wrong since I was not depressed!
My mission is now to help get this recognised many are suffering and as we can't move on until it is.
I am in consultation with my local MP.

I am doctor dentist disabled by professional illness-immune allergic
vasculitis to dental environmental. Accordingly with symptoms is more
than that-a MCS Syndrome ,but acordingly laws I have no way to express

I worked as a samples
technician, decanting chemicals from a non -ventilated store where
there were pesticides,adhesives, leather products(striping)biocides
cosmetic products etc.pharmaceuticals, paints, solvents fumes chemical
fumes and diesel fumes from the forklift and mould stinch from kept
samples.
I have been working as a
Laboratory Technician most of my adult life.
I also worked with
chemicals that mimiced my hormonal system (endocrine disrupting
chemicals).
I developed breast
cancer,cervical changes and a benign osteoma in my sinus. I hope no one
has to go through this.

I just happened upon your site and having had MCS as long as I can
remember, I was comforted to know it has finally received some
recognition. However, what really caught my eye was the
'Health Alert' re: Roundup. I always avoid soap and pesticide
aisles in stores, but could not do so when I was employed as a teller
at a membership store years ago. To make a long story short;
A customer put a pint of concentrated Roundup on my counter with all of
their other items... Within seconds, my respiratory system just shut
down. I couldn't breathe or speak and my eyes were
tearing. A fellow cashier noticed my distress and asked if I
needed air... I could only nod and run - leaving my register to her
watchful eye!

Hi Diane,
Just read your comments on my website and wanted to thank you for
writing to me. Even though I didn't include everything I wanted
everyone to know I will tell you that this all came about because of
"MALATHION" PESTICIDE sprayed over Santa Clara in the early 80's for
three years. No one was told, informed or asked if they wanted "med
flies" spraying on their properties, trees, yards, kids! My son was
young then and I know the spraying affected him just like it says in
the files I found regarding law suits. Malathion is pure poison and one
of our cars had a hide roof which of course disintegrated. There were
splattered spots of decay all over the red vinyl. I had to put this all
together after my son became a victim of the system and all they want
to do is DRUG everyone with the same drugs with no tests or no proof at
all for this barbaric treatment.

She and her husband and 28 year old son Mark were living in their car.
Eight years ago, the gas
and oil companies started drilling around them. Their son was greatly
affected by all of that. He, as well as a daughter, and the mom,
developed heart conditions and the son, numerous neurological problems.
He couldn't walk anymore. A doctor out this way diagnosed them all and
said it was definitely from the flaring. He lost his hospital
privileges immediately. They sold their house (all they could get was
half of its value because of the drilling) and relocated to another
farm. Their son began to improve, little by little. He walks with a
cane now. Then, they started drilling around their new place, and so
they packed up and moved out. They have nowhere to go, can't sell their
home, and so have to live in their car right now. Isn't that awful. She
said that we have to get out of here - She said that she could share
stories that would shock us. She began to describe all of Mark's
symptoms without me saying a thing. She believes that Mark will improve
once we are away from here and that his relapse was definately caused
by the flaring. There is so much more.
The sad side is
that some of the damage done will always be with Mark, and most likely
the rest of us too. Some things will not appear until later. I have no
doubt that my husband and my underactive thyroids are related too as
Southern Alberta has an epidemic in thyroid cases. Over the past month,
Mark has been complaining about his hands too sometimes stiffening up
and then he can't move his fingers for a minute.
