Hi Diana
Thank you so much for this great website and for all your hard work and dedication to this Cause.
It seems that it is the same old story for all of us with MCS.
However much we try to explain to our families, friends, neighbours, Medical authorities, Governments, Oil and Chemical companies, etc. it seems that they are not hearing us. Well I've got news for them all. Diana is going to keep on shouting and so am I, and all our fellow MCSers I hope, until we are heard.
WE MUST ALL keep on SHOUTING!!!
WE ARE BEING POISONED BECAUSE A CORRUPT SYSTEM PLACES MORE VALUE ON HUGE MONETARY PROFITS THAN IT DOES ON OUR LIVES!!!

The information below is especially for people who don't know what it is like to live with MCS.
I am extremely sensitive to many chemicals including "Natural" GAS (toxic additives), Traffic FUMES, most products with any sort of fragrance or smell, some foods and drinks, and much more.
Avoidance seems to be the best solution but is almost impossible with the cocktail of chemicals now in our environment.
Fragranced laundry products, especially fabric conditioner, have been a problem for a quite a time now but it is a new awareness to me, that washing hanging out to dry in the fresh air could cause so much pain.
Hardly a day goes by without adverse reactions to some chemical or other.
This is one instance of my reaction to fragranced laundry products.
There was no washing out this morning so I opened my back door.
I hate the doors and windows to be shut as I love to feel the air moving through the house, even in winter. I was checking occasionally for washing being put out.
1.56pm - I started getting that familiar feeling so I went out to check and my next-door-but-one neighbour had hung her washing out and it smelt very strong.
I held my hand over my mouth and nose as I staggered indoors then shut the doors and windows, but it was too late. The air in my home was already so thick that I could taste it.
I flopped down and FORCED myself to write what I was feeling.
My head feels heavy and full
My eyes are aching and flashing
My breathing is laboured
My heart is racing
My stomach is aching
My whole body is jumping and shaking
My whole body feels weak
I am sweating
My ears are whirring and ringing
My back, shoulders and neck are aching
The tip of my tongue is stinging
I feel nauseous
I can taste the fragrance
I am shivering
I weep!
My nose is blocked up
My throat is clogged up
My stomach is bloated
I am breathless
I am coughing
I have to cough and spit up mucous in order to take a breath.
The mucous tastes of fragrance.
2.06pm - I am left feeling very clogged up
I feel as if I am distanced from this world, ‘on another planet’, ‘spaced out’
The top and back of my head aches
My face aches
My eyes feel very heavy
I am fighting to stay awake
I force myself to get up so that I don’t conk out.
My legs feel like lead but like jelly
The wind starts to come out both ends
I struggle to do something but I'm going 'round in circles.
I sit down.
3.25pm I wake up.
I just sit and weep
I have so much to do and no energy
I have no appetite
6.05pm - I can feel everything lifting
My head is almost clear again but I’m exhausted.
Who would believe?
All this pain and discomfort from breathing the fragrance from my neighbours washing.
I often pray for rain.
If it rains before they get their washing out and rains all day, I can open all my doors and windows and get a chance to recover and enjoy cooking a meal and washing-up instead of struggling to do these small chores.
I chose to spend the rest of the summer mostly indoors, with doors and windows shut, in order to have some quality of life.
It seems our only hope is that we can get these evil chemicals banned and these products discontinued and that the consumer will get wise and realise that these fragranced products are probably why they and/or their loved ones are feeling unwell too, and stop using them.
We all have to do what we can to make sure that this happens.
We must all shout as loud and as often as we are able.
