I've been managing MCS, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia for 20 yrs., since before many of our conditions had names, and certainly before some had credibility.

Unfortunately, we continue that struggle to be taken seriously.

Back in the early days, Dr. George Kroker and his team in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, USA, saved my life. Since then I've seen different practitioners and have been pretty functional until the past 3 years or so. At this time, I am filing for SSDisability. Although I'm quite ill and riding the "roller coaster" of functionality, I wish to become politically active, to have my voice heard, and I need to connect with others for the invaluable support offered.

I learned of this website thru a cyber-support, email group I connect with in Arizona, USA. I used to live in a higher, drier climate and felt better. As soon as I have energy and money to move and locate safe housing I will go to Arizona. I actually have a part time job waiting for me in my professional field of Speech Pathology. However, I will need many accommodations, and am hesitant to go to this work setting because it can be very toxic.

From vast experience working in similar work settings (nursing and rehabilitation centers and public schools), there is air freshener used, fragranced laundry chemicals, and toxic cleaning chemicals (brand Lysol, pine cleaners, etc). I resigned from a job last year because of my health: migraine headaches, chronic pain, Brain-fog, food and inhalant sensitivities, and extreme disgust with misinterpretations and misunderstandings by ignorant colleagues, family, supervisors.

I search for replacement family, ways to become involved in our cause to educate the public and heal ourselves.
